Miranda Lambert Says ‘Stay Tuned’ for New Album: ‘It’s Not Far’

It seems like Miranda Lambert is everywhere lately. No matter where you look in the country music world, her name isn’t far away. That is because she has been working fairly consistently over the past couple of years. At the same time, she is opening herself up to a variety of different ventures.

For instance, Miranda Lambert dropped Wildcard in 2019. Songs from that album are still in the speakers and minds of fans everywhere. People still can’t get enough of Settling Down,” or “Bluebird” from that record. Then, she dropped The Marfa Tapes earlier this year. That collection of stripped-down acoustic songs is a favorite among country and folk music fans. Most recently, she released an electronic remix of her fan-favorite song “Tequila Does.”

She isn’t showing any signs of slowing down anytime soon, either. In fact, Miranda Lambert told Taste of Country Nights that her next album is on the horizon. When they asked when it was coming she cryptically said, “Stay tuned. It’s not far.”

Miranda Lambert is Busy Behind the Scenes

Miranda Lambert has been making sure that her fans don’t run out of new music. However, that’s not all she has been up to in recent months. She has plenty going on just below the surface.

For instance, Miranda Lambert recently opened a bar in Nashville. Casa Rosa is located on Nashville’s bustling Broadway. The bar combines three great things – music, tequila, and tacos. On top of that, there’s a pretty good chance that Miranda will be there if you swing by. She goes there to cut loose when she has the time.

Miranda Lambert has also been doing a lot of songwriting lately. She has been working with fellow country artists to create a number of new tunes. Many of her fans know that she worked with Morgan Wallen to write his latest song, “Thought You Should Know.” Lambert also holds a writing credit on Parker McCollum’s upcoming release, Gold Chain Cowboy. She, McCollum, Jon Randall, and Randy Rogers co-penned “Falling Apart.”

She has also been working with some of today’s ladies of country music. Lambert has written with Ashley McBryde in the past. More recently, she has been working with Caylee Hammack and Lainey Wilson.

On writing with this wide variety of artists, Miranda Lambert told Taste of Country Nights, “It’s really fun, too, to write with other artists… It’s a whole different perspective.” To her, the really fun part is stepping outside of her own box and getting to the heads of other artists.

For now, Miranda Lambert’s next album is a mystery. Frankly, her recent comments leave fans with more questions than answers. For instance, many wonder how the album will sound as well as if some of her recent co-writes will appear on the tracklist.
