On Tik Tok this morning, Miranda Lambert shared a short snippet of her sitting by the river drinking wine. Her guitar and a picnic basket also sit next to her in the video. It’s hard to discern exactly what Lambert is doing n the short clip, but wine for breakfast is a sentiment a lot of us can get behind in 2020. She cites Red55 Winery as the provider of the morning spirit.
“Wine for breakfast,” she declares. “This is my first meal of the day.”
Miranda Lambert in 2020
Miranda Lambert deserves wine in the morning, but as a celebratory measure rather than a coping mechanism. Last week, she walked home with the CMA Award for Music Video of the Year for her song “Bluebird.” The Country Music Association nominated her for a whopping seven awards that night, mostly for “Bluebird.”
On top of her CMA winnings, Lambert is also set to be inducted into the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame. The Museum and Hall of Fame are located in Texas, where Miranda Lambert began her career playing bar gigs. Since those early days, Lambert has won next to every winnable award in country music and has helped pioneer the path for young women to succeed in the industry.
2020 hasn’t been all good for Miranda Lambert, however. For instance, earlier in the year, her beloved dog, Waylon, passed away in October. She had found Waylon along with his sister, who she named Jessi, on the side of the road starving in 2008. Waylon lived 13 years with Lambert before passing away. Many country stars reached out to Lambert in support at this time, including Carrie Underwood.
Last year, Miranda Lambert released her album, Wildcard, on which “Bluebird” appears. Since that release, she has come out with an acoustic recording, a live recording, and a music video. The music video won the CMA Award for Music Video of the Year this year.
