Few things go together as well as country music and driving around in a truck— something Miranda Lambert knows all about. In a recent Tik Tok video, Lambert gave her followers an inside look at her new truck and her sweet pup.

In the clip posted on Monday, the “Bluebird” singer opted for a casual look instead of her award’s show glam. She rocked a messy ponytail, low-key makeup, and oversized glasses while showing off her Sonic Cup. “Mondays are hard,” she says while listening to Willie Nelson.

We also got a peek at one of her many rescue dogs. She pans over to her co-pilot, Bellamy, who sits in the passenger seat of a Ford F150 King Ranch.

In addition to cruising around with her pups, Lambert has much to look forward to this spring. She’s set to release her highly anticipate Marfa Tapes album on May 7. According to Lambert, the Marfa Tapes might not have seen commercial release had it not been for the coronavirus pandemic.

Fans Anticipate Miranda Lambert’s Upcoming Album, Potential Tour

“I don’t think I would have gotten to do that if there wasn’t a break in the normal sequence of things,” she said in a recent interview. “Sometimes you write a bunch of songs that just disappear into this abyss of work tapes and demo land or whatever. And I think this year, people are ready to hear different types of versions of songs from artists they may already follow, or not. But I think last year gave me the freedom to do that.”

She gave fans a taste of what’s to come during Sunday’s ACM Awards. For her third performance of the night, she was joined on the Nashville stage by Jack Ingram and Jon Randall. Both Ingram and Randall are co-collaborators, with Lambert on the record

The group performed a hauntingly beautiful performance of “In His Arms,” the first song from the upcoming 15-track album. Accompanied with soft lighting, the artists sat on stools as they performed with only their acoustic guitars.

“I’ve been a rolling stone, a tumbleweed
Waiting for the right one to come find me
But the wrong one always set me free
I wish I was in his arms tonight”

At the award’s ceremony, the fans nominated her for multiple ACM Awards, including “Female Artist of the Year,” “Single of the year,” and “Song of the Year.” However, she lost the nominations for “Video of the Year” to Kane Brown.

In addition to the upcoming record, she’s also gearing up for concerts in late April and some casino and festival appearances on her official calendar. According to Taste of Country, Lambert says her team is “routing for a tour” as social distancing restrictions become less strict.

“I’m hoping,” she said. “The wheels on the bus go ’round and ’round. I’m crossing my fingers. I’m ready to roll.”
