Miranda Lambert Spreads Holiday Cheer to More Than a Dozen Animal Shelters

Miranda Lambert has always been an advocate for animals. So naturally, the country icon would celebrate the holiday season by giving to shelters in need.

One of Lambert’s most important accomplishments in her life is her charity organization, MuttNation. In 2009, the country star and her mother, Bev, founded the organization. MuttNation’s mission is to “promote the adoption of shelter pets, advance spay & neuter and educate the public about the benefits of these actions,” as well as aid animals during affected by natural disasters.

Since then, Miranda Lambert has expanded her efforts to create her own line of pet products. And now, MuttNation pet care items like food, toys and supplies that are available at Tractor Supply Company (TSC) locations. Recently, Lambert has decided to further assist and promote her organization with a very charitable effort.

Miranda Lambert Visited Brought Thousands of Dollars Worth of Supplies to Shelters in Tennessee

On December 6, Lambert headed to a Tractor Supply Company in Franklin, Tennessee and bought thousands of dollars worth of food, toys and other essential items for dogs and cats. Then she decided to give three local shelters, Williamson County Animal Center, Metro Nashville Animal Care & Control and Nashville Humane Association, the surprise of the season. Miranda Lambert donated all of her purchases to the shelters, securing a truly merry Christmas for hundreds of animals.

“This time of year, it’s so important to remember shelter animals everywhere,” Lambert shared. “These three shelters have been important local partners to MuttNation over the past several years, and we all know how tough it’s been for them. I just wanted show my appreciation.”

Meanwhile, TSC Gave Lambert a Surprise of Her Own

Following Lambert’s charitable donations, Tractor Supply Company then wanted to help spread the cheer across the country. So, the chain gifted $1,000-dollar gift cards to 10 shelters and rescues across the country. These organizations specialize in care for senior pets and/or pets with special needs.

The lucky shelters were: Blind Dog Rescue Alliance (Boothwyn, PA), Deaf Dogs Rock (Salem VA), Gray Muzzle (Raleigh, NC), Heath’s Haven Rescue (Post Falls, ID), Muttville Senior Dog Rescue (San Francisco, CA), Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary (Mt. Juliet, TN), Pets With Disabilities (Frederick, MD), Rolling Dog Farm (Lancaster, NH), The Sanctuary For Senior Dogs (Cleveland, OH) and Vintage Paws (Sarasota, FL).

Tractor Supply Company’s Vice President of Divisional Merchandise Management, Nicole Logan, commented on their holiday gifts, stating, “MuttNation’s Love Harder campaign to raise awareness for dogs that are less frequently adopted has been an inspiration to all of us at Tractor Supply. We share Miranda’s affection for all shelter animals and wanted to support her efforts during this special time of year.”
