Miranda Lambert took to Twitter and Instagram to send the sweetest birthday shoutout to her little brother, Luke.

The country singer posted an adorable throwback picture of the two of them, featuring Miranda as a toddler and Luke as just a little baby. She put it side by side with a more recent pic of the two, all grown-up.

“How it started… how it’s going …. Happy birthday baby bro! Love you so much, Luke!” Miranda Lambert wrote in her caption.

On Instagram, the singer’s brother replied, “Love you, Ran!” We shouldn’t be surprised that the Lambert family has a cute nickname for the country star. He also reposted the baby photo Miranda put on her page, along with the caption, “#tbt to two days old with my sister. Look how far we’ve come! As I turn 33, I’m so grateful for my incredible husband, family, and friends.”

Miranda Lambert commented on the post, “Love you so much! I’m glad I’ve gotten to annoy you for 33 years! Happy birthday!”

One fan said the two should recreate the first photo. It’d definitely be an interesting move since it looks like Miranda Lambert’s holding baby Luke in her lap, bottle in hand. Another fan called them “adorable then, beautiful now.”

Miranda Lambert’s Brother Helps Her Become a ‘Better Ally’ To LGBTQ Communty

We recently saw Miranda Lambert’s brother, Luke, and his husband Marc star in one of her music videos. Lambert released an electronic remix of her song, “Tequila Does,” the first time she’s ever done a remix. And when she first showed the song to her brother and brother-in-law, their excitement about it led her to invite them to be in the music video.

Right around the time she released the video last month, Miranda Lambert also sat down for a video interview with GLAAD, an LGBTQ non-profit organization. She spoke with them about creating the remix but also learning about this new community she’d not really known about before.

“I do think we are in a moment of change and I have so much to learn,” Lambert said in the interview. “I know I am uneducated, but I am full of love. Being in a family where I am surrounded by LGBTQ people, it has me learning and me figuring out how I can be a part of the change and be part of the community and still be the same person I have been as an artist for 20 years.”

But she’s also happy to try a new style on for size, as evidenced by the techno/electronic nature of the “Tequila Does” remix. For Miranda Lambert, the song represents an opportunity to invite the LGBTQ community into the country genre more.

“I feel like as a country artist I get to lift them up and stand on that platform with them, and it makes me so happy!” she said. “All kinds of kinds were in this video! It makes me really proud and humble.”
