Miranda Lambert gave fans a taste Sunday night — a hint of what’s to come — at the Academy of Country Music Awards. She sang three times on the show.

For her fans, it was blissful. And now Lambert says there will be much more, soon, real soon. She says there will be new music. And her people are putting together a tour. All we can say is yes, please.

“I’m working on a record,” Miranda Lambert told the site, Taste of Country.

And there will be live shows. Lambert said: “I’m hoping. The wheels on the bus go ’round and ’round. I’m crossing my fingers. I’m ready to roll.”

Later this week, Miranda Lambert is set to perform at Billy Bob’s, a venue in the Stockyards of Fort Worth, Texas. She announced those dates back in February when she posted on Instagram:

“First concert in over a year. Texas , I can’t wait to come home ❤️”. In the photo, Lambert had her back turned to the camera. She was wearing a leather jacket emblazoned with a Texas flag and a lot of fringe.

Miranda Lambert Will Play Five Shows in Fort Worth

Lambert has three shows for Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It’s all part of the 40th anniversary celebration for Billy Bob’s. She’s set for two more shows there, May 1-2. All the shows are sold out. The club also said it will enforce attendance restrictions for COVID-19.

Miranda Lambert dropped by the club earlier this month. She and Kid Rock joined Hank Williams Jr for a rendition of Family Tradition. Hank’s son, Sam, also was part of the performance.

The singer was between stops of her Wildcard Tour in March 2020 when the pandemic shut down concerts and live music.

Like a lot of country entertainers, Lambert worked on new music during the pandemic. One such song kicked off the ACM Awards. Dressed in black leather and draped with floor-length fringe, Lambert and Elle King sang a rowdy version of “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home.” The two released the song in late February,

Lambert’s third performance at the ACM show previewed her new album, The Marfa Tapes. She collaborated with fellow Texans Jack Ingram and Jon Randall. The album will drop, May 7. The three performed In His Arms, the first single from the 15-track album.

Plus, Miranda Lambert will be in the new series by rocker Dave Grohl. The show iscalled From Cradle to Stage. It focuses on musicians and their relationships with their mothers.

The series debuts on May 6th on Paramount+. Miranda Lambert’s episode comes out on May 20th. Brandi Carlile’s episode comes out on May 27th. The series debuts May 7. The Lambert episode is May 20.

Lambert also sang with Chris Stapleton on Maggie’s Song, which was a tribute to Stapleton’s dog. She filled in for Stapleton’s wife.

So yes, more Miranda Lambert, please.
