Though she didn’t take home any awards at this year’s CMAs, Miranda Lambert still brought down the house with her medley kick-off. It included hits like “Mama’s Broken Hearts,” “Kerosene,” “Bluebird,” and “Gunpowder and Lead.” And becoming the third most-nominated artist in CMA history isn’t exactly a bad way to end the night, either. The icing on the cake? Well, it just so happened to be the star’s 38th birthday.
Judging by all the snaps she shared, Miranda Lambert’s “bday week” looks like it was an absolute party. And no, no one’s hair caught on fire during the celebration. At least, not that we’re aware of. Here’s how she spent the week.
Miranda Lambert Celebrates Her Big Day (Week) Surrounded By Pals, Drinks, and A Whole Lot of Fringe
Miranda Lambert took to Twitter to share a series of four snaps from her “bday week.” It’s hard to pick a favorite, but the jumpsuit-channeling Elvis-look is probably a good bet. Check it out:

The snaps show her surrounded by good pals and (we’re assuming) good drinks, too. Although she and Elle King lost out on Music Event of the Year for their “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” to Kelsea Ballerini and Kenny Chesney for their “Half of My Hometown,” there was plenty to celebrate regardless.
“That category, to me, everyone’s deserving of it,” Lambert said of Entertainer of the Year (another one of her three nominations this year). “There’s never an upset when we all worked really hard to get here. I’m also glad there’s another female (Carrie Underwood) in the category because she needs to be there. She’s a badass.”
Her Hubby’s Long Heart-felt Birthday Message
Miranda Lambert’s husband, Brendan McLoughlin, also took to Instagram to celebrate the star with a long, heartfelt message. You can check it out here:
He calls her “a light for those in the dark, a voice for the ones who can’t be heard, and most important of all…the most amazing wife day in and day out.” Miranda also commented on the post in response saying, “I love you, my sweet husband! thanks for making me breakfast this morning! Love me some bday bacon.”
The two tied the knot in a secret ceremony at the start of 2019 and have been inseparable since. Lambert talked about this decision saying the following:
“I was married before, and it was a huge wedding and everything was very public. So was my divorce. I learned then that it’s not for everybody else. This is my actual life. [So] with Brendan, I made it a point to keep it as private as I could for as long as I could.”
