Everyone from Alan Jackson to George Strait – and even “Yellowstone”s John Dutton (Kevin Costner) has made the classic white Western wide-brim an iconic effect. As you can see above, Miranda Lambert herself is a big fan of the look, as well. Now her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, can add his name to that list, too!

“Couldn’t have had a better experience for my first hat, thank you @besthatstore!” McLoughlin posts to his Instagram stories. Within, Lambert’s man posts a shot of himself in a similar sharp white wide-brim, a photo we can only hope Lambert herself took. Makes it more special that way!

By all accounts, American Hat Co. is a fantastic place to snag your first Western hat. Or any hat for that matter. We’re unsponsored, too, so don’t worry: this is some straight jive.

The big story here, however, is that Miranda Lambert has officially converted her husband. No, they’re not Illuminati (yet). Instead, she’s brought him over to the Southern side, folks.

Miranda Lambert’s Husband Goes From NYPD Blue to Tennessee Green

An NYPD officer, Brendan hails from Staten Island and was assigned to the South Midtown Precinct. Working near Times Square, we’re sure he’s seen some s***. Miranda Lambert currently doesn’t have to worry about her husband’s safety on the force, however. According to PEOPLE, McLoughlin went on an “authorized leave of absence” in July of 2019.

Instead, Lambert is making a good ol’ boy out of her man! When she’s not touring, the couple spend time at their absolutely gorgeous Tennessee estate. Their lush, 400-acre farm & woodland home sits about an hour southeast of Nashville. And it is a sight to behold.

If you’re going to live the life, you might as well look the part, too. While cowboy hats are, by all accounts, Western attire, they’ve become a staple of America’s Southeast, as well. The country music scene has a lot to do with this, sure, but there’s no shortage of ranching and true cowboy living here in Tennessee. In fact, it’s all over the place and makes up a huge part of our agricultural economy. Take it from this author, who descends from a long line of farmers, cowboys, and ranchers (two of my great uncles are still all of the above).

So welcome to the club, Brendan! We’ve got excellent hats, of which you now own one. Here’s to hoping the NYPD officer is enjoying his new southern lifestyle. And by all accounts, he is. How could he not be… He’s married to Miranda Lambert!
