Morgan Wallen is writing one hell of a comeback story right now. In February, his career was on the rocks. He was all but exiled from the entertainment industry when his neighbor’s doorbell cam caught him saying the n-word while drunk. Almost immediately, radio stations pulled his songs, awards shows banned him, and his management dropped him. In a matter of days, he went from rising star to pariah. However, his fans showed up for him.
To say that Morgan Wallen’s fans kept him afloat would be an understatement. They made his double album Dangerous a best-seller. In fact, it’s now in the running for Best Country Album at the AMA Awards despite Wallen being banned from the show. Now that Wallen is back on the road, they’re showing their support by helping him sell out shows across the country.
Last weekend, Morgan Wallen played the Auburn Rodeo at Sistrunk Farms. Last night, he posted a video from that concert that show just how epic the crowd was. Check it out below.
The video shows how Morgan Wallen and his army of admirers in Auburn turned an open field into a massive musical event. Then, we can see just how stoked the crowd is to see Wallen perform. They’re all screaming at the top of their lungs and pumping their fists in unison. Say what you will about Morgan, he sure knows how to move a crowd.
Morgan Wallen’s Comeback Continues
In the caption of the post, Morgan Wallen addressed the audience from last week’s show in Auburn. “You were amazing. Thank you,” he wrote. Wallen then added, “Bristol, see you tomorrow. LFG.”
Tonight, Morgan Wallen will play Bristol Motor Speedway. He’ll be headlining Country Thunder Bristol and is bringing some friends with him. Granger Smith/Earl Dibbles Jr. will be there. So will Jon Langston and Larry Fleet. Wallen’s longtime collaborator ERNEST will open.
That’s going to be a crazy show. Bristol is just a stone’s throw away from Wallen’s hometown of Knoxville, Tennessee. So, his hometown crowd will definitely be there.
If you plan to see Morgan Wallen in Bristol tonight and don’t have tickets yet, you might be out of luck. Everything but the highest-level VIP package is sold out. So, you’ll be dropping between $450 and $600 per ticket. However, the package comes with plenty of perks. For instance, you get to be right in front of the stage. Additionally, the Platinum Experience package gets you private luxury restrooms, a private bar, VIP parking, access to a rooftop lounge, and more.
Wallen has six more shows this year. He’ll be playing The Grounds in Mobile, Alabama on November 12th. Then, he starts a two-night stand at North Little Rock’s Simmons Bank Arena on November 19th. In December, Wallen will play three consecutive nights at Lexington, Kentucky’s Rupp Arena. That three-night engagement kicks off on December 3rd.
