Morgan Wallen joined Eric Church during a concert in Pennsylvania. And Wallen was thrilled to sing with the CMA Performer of the Year. Because according to Wallen, Church is the best “country music singer that ever lived.” And we know there’s a lot of Chief fans out there that feel the exact same way.

Eric Church and his crew have had a bit of sad luck this week. A few members of his band came down with COVID. And since the country crooner is in the midst of his epic Gather Again tour, that put him in a bind. You see, Eric didn’t want to cancel his upcoming events, so he decided just to brave the stage himself. But he realized he had friends in high places when fellow country stars jumped at the opportunity to help.

On Friday night, Cam went out to Pittsburg and became an honorary bandmember for the night. And yesterday, Morgan Wallen surprised an audience in Philadelphia.

Church knows how to get a crowd amped. And he got the Philly audience going when he brought Wallen on stage in a sly way. The singer started playing Morgan’s song Sand In My Boots, which confused everyone for a moment. But then Morgan walked on stage and started singing along.

“I guess we’re doing this one day in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania!” he yelled as he greeted the crowd.

And he quickly added that Church is “the best” country artist who ever lived. And he was “honored to share a stage” with the Nashville legend.

Eric Church Brings Morgan Wallen on Stage for a Surprise Set at Justin Timberlakes New Bar

Eric Church surprised a VIP audience last month when he pulled Morgan Wallen on stage at Justin Timberlake’s brand new Broadway St. bar in Nashville.

On September 25th, Timberlake hosted an opening party at The Twelve Thirty Club. And he had a star-studded lineup waiting to perform for the night. The lucky invitees got to watch Jake Owen, Jessie James Decker, Jon Pardi, Chase Rice, Kid Rock, Eric Church, and Zac Brown perform a mini-concert while they hobnobbed at the swanky club.

And just when the night was ending, Morgan Wallen and Eric Church snuck out for a surprise acoustic set. As the guests were headed for the door, they heard a familiar voice coming from the stage.

“This is just one of my favorite songs I’ve ever got the pleasure to sing,” Wallen told the shocked fans before singing Sand in My Boots. Eric Church played the guitar and sang along for the chorus.

The set lasted for a few songs after Wallen asked for a drink and a fan was happy to oblige.
