Morgan Wallen might not be “Talkin’ Tennessee” anymore after he sold his Nashville home for a whopping sum.
TMZ reported that the country star sold his infamous four bedroom, three bathroom Nashville home earlier this month for the tidy price of $835,000. The home is half of a duplex that features rooftop access and a fenced-in, private backyard.
It’s unclear where Wallen has moved to, but his neighbors are likely happy to see him go. He was famous for his late nights with friends in the upscale neighborhood. Though, he told Good Morning America that after going to rehab, he’s put that behind him and is working on becoming a better man and father.
Wherever he goes, he’ll likely be able to afford it. His double album, Dangerous, topped the charts for months and every song he’s released has charted. And despite his recent controversy, he’s held onto his core fanbase. This is despite the fact that he’s been mostly silent for months, making only a handful of appearances or social media posts.
In May, he penned a thankful message to those fans that stood by him.
“So many things have happened since I’ve had the opportunity to speak to my fans,” he wrote in a handwritten note on Instagram. “I haven’t even had the chance to share my feelings on what has happened with my music & the Dangerous album, & it’s important to me that I do that first [for] y’all…
“Before the music came out, I was proud of it. I felt fulfilled. As a musician, that is the best feeling in the world… Being happy with your music before you even hear it. If you feel that way, then you can live with the reaction, I guess…”
Morgan Wallen Releases New Music
Despite saying he won’t tour this year, Morgan Wallen still wants to interact with his fans and share some of what he’s working on.
Wallen released a demo of a new song called “You Proof” to Instagram. He captioned it simply, “Been wanting to put out new music.”
His fans were lining up in the comments to let him know how much they loved the new tune.
“Bring on the new music, your fans will get you to the top always,” one woman wrote. “Love it! It’s nice to hear you again on the radio too!” posted someone else.
He also recently dropped an impromptu version of “Sand in my Boots” with Eric Church, Hardy, and Darius Rucker that set the internet ablaze for a few days. Those four are some of the biggest acts in country music right now, and it’s a powerful rendition of the hit song.
