Carly Pearce rang in 2022 with an epic performance.
On Friday, December 31, Pearce performed as part of the CBS Big Bash Nashville New Year’s Eve celebration. She gave a hit rendition of her song “Hide The Wine.” Pearce donned an elaborate white and black dress with silver accents. She performed on The Skydeck on Broadway in Nashville, Tennessee. Over 100,000 fans were in attendance at Music City’s biggest NYE party.
Prior to her television special, Carly Pearce reflected on her past year.
“These songs are for anybody that’s on a journey, which, we all are,” Pearce said in her highlight video clip. She debuted her emotional and award-winning record, 29. She also hosted the CMA Country Christmas special, took home several awards, and was able to tour.
“At the beginning of this year, I remember being so unsure of what was ahead for me,” she wrote. “I knew I was making the music I had moved to Nashville to make, but I wasn’t sure how it would be received. I also was nervous to lay my heart out on the line to tell my truth. YALLLLLLL! I’m ending this year saying this was TRULY the best year of my life. Thank you for being a part of so many moments, so many dreams that came true & so much of my discovery of the next chapter of my life. 2022, let’s top it! ♥️”
One of Pearce’s first 2022 accomplishments will be performing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on January 3. She called it a “bucket list moment”. She will be performing her emotional song “Diamondback”. The tune was featured on her latest record, 29, and was inspired by her marriage to ex-husband Michael Ray.

Carly Pearce on Kelly Clarkson Moment
Carly Pearce recently performed on NBC’s The Voice during the Season 21 semifinals. She performed her title track “29” on the show.
Pearce spoke about a special moment with Hillary Scott on her Country Faith Radio on Apple Music Country podcast. She revealed that she wasn’t sure if Kelly Clarkson would be paying attention to the song’s lyrics. As a coach, she sat directly in front of the stage. The song speaks about her divorce from Ray, as they broke up after eight months of marriage. Meanwhile, Clarkson divorced her now ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, after seven years of marriage.
Pearce said that only a few people truly understood her situation with her divorce being in the public eye. Clarkson would be one of the select people who could relate to her. Pearce shared that she and Clarkson locked eyes during her performance. Pearce had to look away because of the emotions. It turns out, Clarkson was impressed and did pay attention. When she got off stage, Clarkson spoke to her and gave her a hug. The American Idol alum told her that they needed to hang out.
