Noah Cyrus is firing back at Fox News for its coverage of her outfit at this year’s 2020 CMT Awards. The pop star took to social media to call out the media outlet for blurring her outfit online.

At this year’s awards show, the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus performed a duet of “This Is Us” with fellow singer Jimmie Allen. During the performance, Cyrus donned a glittery cowboy hat and a sheer, bejeweled bodysuit that many viewers considered controversial.

On Fox News’ website, the company blurred Cyrus’ private areas, which caught the singer’s attention. Cyrus, 20, took to her Instagram stories to react.

In a screenshot captured by The Blast, Cyrus writes “@foxnews it’s skin tone underwear but thanks for blurring my thighs.” Cyrus then concluded the message by writing, “Vote Biden!”

Social Media Sounds Off on Noah Cyrus

Following Cyrus’ performance, many viewers took to social media to react to her outfit. Many voiced divided opinions on her fashion choice.

“I know this is 2020 and anything goes now, but c’mon @CMT I lost so much respect for you letting @noahcyrus perform wearing practically nothing at all,” one viewer tweeted. “That was so inappropriate and NOT at all what women should be representing!!!”

“Seems Noah Cyrus didn’t get the memo that CMT Awards are not equivalent to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show,” another wrote. “I cannot fathom how incredibly distasteful & abhorrent her ‘costume’ was. Praying to God above that she’s forbidden to perform among CMT artists ever again.”

While many voiced criticisms, others rushed to the defense of Noah Cyrus.

“Everyone is heated about @noahcyrus outfit tonight but honestly I loved it and wish I had that kind of confidence,” one person said.

“I’m in love with noah cyrus this outfit is EVERYTHING,” another wrote.
