After canceling a concert on Saturday night due to a “family emergency,” Jimmie Allen and his wife Alexis welcomed their second daughter.
Allen’s concert was scheduled for Forest City, North Carolina on Saturday night but just hours before he was set to perform, he publicly announced that he would have to cancel. The family emergency? His wife was in labor. The singer + songwriter later confirmed the news on his Twitter page. He writes, “Zara James Allen. The new addition to our family is here and we couldn’t be happier to finally meet her. Alexis, you’re a champion, I love you, and am so thankful for you.”
Zara James Allen made her grand entrance Saturday night, October 16th, 2021. She joins big sister, almost 2-year-old Naomi Bettie, and big brother, 7-year-old, Aadyn from Allen’s previous relationship. The “Big Shot” singer and Gale were blindly introduced in the spring of 2019 and have been together ever since. The couple married on May 27th, 2021 at Pennsylvania’s Lake House Inn.
Just days before, the country songsmith hinted at his third child’s imminent arrival on his latest episode of Dancing With The Stars. He says, “She’s two centimeters dilated. She’s feeling great. I’m just looking forward to welcoming this new baby girl into the world. Whenever she decides to show her face.”
Before that, Allen revealed the gender of the baby on the Sam Alex Show saying, “We’ve got a baby girl on the way! We didn’t do the whole reveal thing because we did it for the first one, and whatever pops out, pops out. “I want to name her Arya Stark Allen because I’m a huge Game of Thrones fan. But Lex ain’t letting that happen. So I don’t know what we’re gonna call her. It might just be ‘Hey you!’”
Jimmie Allen’s Newfound Passion
Jimmie Allen has put a pause on music to focus on dancing. The “Freedom Is A Highway” singer is one of the show’s 15 competitors on Season 30 of Dancing With The Stars. He is partnered with seasoned professional and Season 24 winner Emma Slater. The pair debuted with a tango to Timbaland’s “The Way I Are,” with judge Derek Hough giving high praise. He says, “Jimmie, your performance was amazing. That was an incredible week one frame, honestly. The one thing I would just say is just keeping consistent because it was good and then every once in a while it would go woo, and it would drop down, but you have it. You know you can do it, you just got to be a little more consistent but great, great tango brother. Great job!”
Allen and Slater most recently took the stage to perform a dance to “I’ll Make a Man Out of You” from Mulan which led to winning the Mickey Dance Challenge.
Now, Allen has a newborn and rigorous dance training schedule to keep him busy. Sleep is going to be very minimal for the singer but congratulations to the couple on their newest addition.
