Thomas Rhett and his family are taking some time away to recharge.

Recently, Rhett posted a collection of photos on Instagram of his family on a nice beach vacation.

His photos, captioned “love my girls,” feature his wife Lauren Akins and his two daughters Willa and Ada James. Rhett captures a few sunset photos as well as one of Ada James beginning to ride a bike.

Fans loved to see the photos. One fan said “I love how you and your family are always outdoors doing things. I love my childhood because of being outdoors and exploring things.”

Rhett and His Family

Rhett and his family are often in the news for their relationship and their family. Akins and Rhett met back in first grade and then eventually got married in 2012. She was sure to inspire a lot of the singer/songwriter’s greatest hits.

The pair had a lot of struggles with conceiving, so they looked into adoption. That’s how they ended up adopting Willa from Uganda.

“She was a total orphan and didn’t have any biological relatives, no one. Her life was going to be at the children’s home unless someone else tried to give her a home … So I thought, ‘We need to find her a home.’ I thought we’d be the helpers — and then Thomas Rhett said, ‘We’ll do it,'” Akins said in an interview with People.

The couple quickly realized just how difficult it can be to adopt overseas, especially in third-world countries. The pair then found out that she was also pregnant while going through the adoption process.

Despite back and forth trips, stress, and a lot of uncertainty, the two ended up being able to bring Willa home with the help of Akins’ parents. Then a few months later she also had a healthy baby girl.

Recently, Rhett has been keeping busy during his quarantine. He has been at the CMAs and just over a week ago he released his single “What’s Your Country Song.” The couple will be hosting the “CMA Country Christmas” show on Nov. 30.
