If one couple gets the titles of couple goals, it’s got to be Reba McEntire and her current boyfriend, actor Rex Linn.

During an interview with “Good Morning America,” McEntire admitted that her relationship now inspires her when she writes new material.

“I’m in love, so that really inspires me to find love songs, to find happy songs,” McEntire said. “I’ve always been the queen of waltzes, the queen of sad songs, because I just gravitate to those kinds of songs.”

McEntire first revealed that she had a new love during an episode of her Living & Learning With Reba McEntire podcast. On Oct. 19, 2020, she made her relationship official by sharing a sweet photo with her “sugar tot” on Instagram.

Linn, 64, was born in Texas and raised in Oklahoma City— not too far from McEntire’s hometown. While fans most notably recognize him as Sgt. Frank Tripp from the CBS television series “CSI: Miami,” yet he’s also appeared in other roles.

He’s also made appearances on shows such as “Better Call Saul,” “Nashville,” and the “Big Bang Theory” spin-off, “Young Sheldon.”

Reba Mcentire & Rex Linn Still Going Strong

According to McEntire, she had her first date with Linn in January. “And then February on, it was the COVID pandemic, and we were talking, texting, FaceTime,” McEntire said on her podcast. “And that’s a really good way to get to know people.”

In the beginning, McEntire and Linn connected over a shared love for country music that made their time in lockdown less lonely.

“It’s good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what’s going on. Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress. And he’s very into my music. I’m very into his career,” the “Fancy” singer continues. “It’s just great getting to talk to somebody who I find very interesting, very funny, very smart, and is interested in me, too.”

Since making their relationship official, the lovebirds have shared adorable snaps of themselves going on dates. In January, Linn shared pictures of the couple’s first movie date. He also made our hearts melt when he posted a photo of McEntire and a cardinal, calling them “two beautiful redheads.”

Linn is also very proud of Reba McEntire and her country music success. His latest Instagram post included a clip of her singing in her new music video for her song, “Somehow You Do.” Linn captioned the supportive post with “Tater Tot’s new video. Already climbing the charts!”
