Reba McEntire perfectly summarizes the ups and downs of 2020 in recent Instagram post.
A life lesson we all seem to learn at one point or another is that nothing is all bad or all good. In fact, everything in life is a little of both. McEntire explains just that in her recent Instagram post. She shares a photo collage of all her best and most challenging moments during 2020.
Along with the photo, she writes, “From my Mama and other dear friends going to Heaven to spending special time with my family, having some fun and finding love, 2020 sure was a great example of sadness and happiness often going together hand-in-hand. We say goodbye to 2020 today and look forward to brighter days ahead! Happy New Year!”
Reba McEntire Re-Releases Song Of ‘Care, Hope And Love’
Earlier this year, McEntire released a new music video for her classic song “What If.” Originally released in 1997, McEntire says she felt compelled to re-release the song as an encouraging message of hope and positivity during difficult times.
“This song is as relevant today as it was 23 years ago,” says McEntire. “That’s the power of a great song…Even though we may not be able to physically reach out with just one hand right now, we can still be there for each other and take care of our neighbors, essential workers and medical professionals,” she continues. “Re-releasing this song and updated video with its message of care, hope and love felt like the right thing to do. Maybe we still can change things.”
During the song, McEntire sings, “What if everybody, what if everybody, reached out with one hand. What if everybody, what if everybody sang out with one voice. Maybe we could change things somehow.”
As we say goodbye to 2020 today, we take a note from Reba and hope that this new year brings everyone some care, hope, and love-filled change.
