While country music remains the first love for singer Reba McEntire, she’s also spent a considerable amount of time on screen. Those acting chops are reappearing in a movie.

McEntire makes a cameo appearance in “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” a new movie starring “Saturday Night Live” alum Kristen Wiig. Her co-star is Annie Mumolo. The movie is now available for viewing as Lionsgate released it only to Video On Demand platforms.

In the movie, Reba McEntire plays a water sprite which, according to a definition, is a sprite that’s believed to inhabit or haunt water.

Reba McEntire Shows No Signs Of Slowing Down

A lot of country music singers have not been able to go out on tour due to COVID-19 restrictions. Yet this has not totally kept McEntire from being active.

The 65-year-old singer-songwriter will be making another appearance on CBS’ “Young Sheldon,” which is a spinoff from its hit series “The Big Bang Theory.” McEntire appears in an episode set for Feb. 25. She also appeared on “Young Sheldon” in 2020.

It should be noted that McEntire’s boyfriend, actor Rex Linn, has a recurring role on the sitcom. Many people will remember Linn from his role on the popular “CSI: Miami” series.

She also is lined up for a starring role in NBC’s series revamping of the movie “Fried Green Tomatoes.” McEntire also is an executive producer of the series.

Boyfriend Rex Linn Calls McEntire ‘Beautiful Redhead’

Speaking of Rex Linn, back in January he shared a very special message about McEntire through an Instagram post.

It’s a set of two photos, one which shows the back of McEntire’s head and another of a beautiful red cardinal.

Both pictures come from Linn’s backyard.

What does the appearance of a cardinal mean? Well, legend has it that its appearance signifies when a loved one is near you. It also makes that specific moment sweeter for the two lovebirds.

Linn and McEntire met many years ago when both had roles in a Kenny Rogers movie. After McEntire went through a divorce, their paths crossed again on the “Young Sheldon” set.

One thing led to another and they’ve been together as a couple for over a year.
