Country music superstar Reba McEntire has made a decision regarding her future touring and concert dates.

While country music fans will feel disappointment, McEntire and her team believe it is best to move her concert schedule back a year. With the COVID-19 pandemic still wreaking havoc across most of the country, the 2021 Reba: Live in Concert will be the 2022 Reba: Live in Concert instead.

Reba McEntire is far from the only artist to readjust their touring schedule in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. McEntire says she plans on hitting the road in early 2022, to the delight of her robust fan base.

The “Little Rock” and “Does He Love You” singer took to social media on Wednesday morning to make the announcement. In the social media post, Reba McEntire sympathizes with those expressing frustration due to the ongoing pandemic. She includes the dates and locations of her planned 2022 concert touring series. She also says she is looking forward to being back on track and performing live shows for her adoring fans.

“We’ve waited as long as we possibly could to make a decision, but unfortunately, we’re not going to be able to play our 2021 Reba: Live In Concert dates,” she writes in the post. “As much as I wish we could get back out on the road, it’s just not possible yet.”

While some states are beginning to ease up on COVID-19 restrictions, health officials still advise heavy caution. Social distancing, wearing protective facial masks and avoiding large gatherings are a few of the precautions that are still being advised. McEntire provides fans with some positives in the Instagram post as well. She says a full 2022 concert schedule is the plan as of right now, which is music to the ears of Reba McEntire fans.

“However, don’t worry…we are going to reschedule the dates for 2022,” she continues. “We cannot wait to get back out on the road and bring you our brand new show!”

The country star also assures fans that their 2021 tickets will be good for her 2022 shows.

“If you’ve got your tickets, hang on to them – they’ll be good for the new dates,” she says.

Reba McEntire’s post was well-received by social media users, who say they fully understand. It took in more than 5,000 “likes” in well under an hour of going live.
