Country Music Superstar Reba McEntire took to social media on Monday to honor her friend and son’s nanny, who passed away recently. Writing on her Instagram account, she wishes her good friend happy trails until they meet again.

“My good friend, Cindy Bailey Gillihan, went to heaven today,” McEntire writes. “Today is her birthday…not only on earth but in heaven. Cindy was Shelby’s nanny but took care of all of us. Happy trails to you Cindy, till we meet again. All My love, Reba.”

Reba McEntire’s Son Shelby is a Race Car Driver

Shelby Blackstock is McEntire’s only child with former husband Narvel Blackstock. Blackstock is a professional race car driver. The 30-year old Blackstock began his racing career in college when he went to a Bob Bondurant race school. He would eventually drop out of college in order to pursue a racing career full-time. His first major appearances were in Skip Barber competition in 2010 and 2011. He made his professional debut driving a Ford Mustang in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.  In 2015 he signed with Andretti Autosport to race in the Indy Lights series, according to NBC Sports.

“I am very happy to be back with the Andretti Autosport team for the 2015 Indy Lights season,” Blackstock said of the signing. “I’m extremely excited to test the new IL-15 and to see if all the great expectations are true. I want to thank Andretti Autosport for giving me the opportunity to be in one of its cars this year. This team is like a second family to me. I hope there is a lot of success to come from a completely fresh season.”

McEntire, meanwhile, has kept busy and is currently in rehearsals for the upcoming CMA Awards. Country Music’s “biggest night” is set for this Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC
