There’s something else in the air today (besides COVID-19). It might just be love, as country music artist and actress Reba McEntire, reveals to the world that she’s in love with her boyfriend Rex Linn.
Linn is an actor as well who is most known for his role in “CSI: Miami.”
McEntire guest-starred on “Young Sheldon,” where Linn played the role of Principal Peterson. She shared that she was in a relationship with Linn in October, however, it is unclear how long the couple has been romantically involved.
Writing While in Love
According to Taste of Country, being with Linn is making her feel like a “giddy teenager” again. And giddy teenager might just be the recipe for songwriting.
“[Being in love] really inspires me to find love songs, to find happy songs. I’ve always been the queen of waltzes, the queen of sad songs, because I just gravitate to those kinds of songs,” McEntire said.
Reba has been teasing new music coming in 2020, which she revealed to “Good Morning America” that she has already recorded eight songs.
Additionally, Reba also has a podcast “Living & Learning with Reba McEntire.” This is where she initially revealed that she was dating Linn after former co-star Melissa Peterman asked if she was dating someone.
“Yeah. Yeah, I am. A very, very sweetheart of a guy, Rex Linn. And we’ve been talking during the pandemic. We had dinner with Rex, was it in January? … And then February on it was the COVID pandemic and we were talking, texting, FaceTime. And that’s a really good way to get to know people,” McEntire said.
Evidently, McEntire’s new 2020 music may have more of a love-centered perspective than some of her older music has had now that she’s giddy and in love.
Insta Official Nicknames
The two appear to be so in love that they have nicknames for each other that they revealed on Instagram. While posing for a picture in Montana, McEntire captioned the photo, “Fun in MT with my Sugar Tot!!! @rexlinn13.”
Linn posted the same photo except he captioned it, “TATER TOT. Angel on the ground (and on a cooler). @reba.”
Nothing says love like “Sugar Tot” and “Tater Tot.”
McEntire will be hosting and performing at the CMAs tonight with Darius Rucker.
