Scotty McCreery, 27, and wife Gabi, 27, celebrated their third wedding anniversary on June 16, 2021. The high school sweethearts commemorated the occasion by sharing heartfelt messages to each other via social media.
Scotty and Gabi actually met in kindergarten in Garner, North Carolina, and grew up together in the close-knit community. They began dating their senior year at Garner High School. After a five-year courtship, the couple got engaged in September 2017 during a hike in the mountains. Of course, they tied the knot on June 16, 2018, in North Carolina in front of 200 family and friends as Scotty’s childhood pastor officiated.
By 2018, Gabi was no stranger to Scotty’s longtime fans. The graduate of the University of North Carolina appeared in a number of music video for the 2011 American Idol winner, including “The Trouble With Girls,” “Feelin’ It,” and “Five More Minutes.” In fact, Gabi, who works as a pediatric cardiac nurse, is also the muse behind Scotty’s current Top 20 single, “You Time.” Penned by Scotty, Frank Rogers, and Aaron Eshuis, “You Time” will be featured on Scotty’s fifth studio album.
The tune follows Scotty’s three previous No. 1 singles—”Five More Minutes,” “This Is It,” and “In Between”—from Scotty’s fourth studio album, Seasons Change. The album reached the peak of the Billboard Top Country Albums chart when it was released in 2018.
Scotty Is a Lucky Man
To commemorate his third anniversary on June 16, 2021, Scotty shared a smiling photo of his wife, and lovingly referred to her as his “rock.” He also noted the exact number of days they have been married.
“Happy Anniversary to the love of my life!” wrote Scotty via Instagram. “1,096 days we’ve been married and you have been a rock for our family every single one of them! I’m so lucky that I’m yours. Cheers to many more years and adventures! I love you.”
Gabi Shares the Love
Of course, Gabi also shared her own heartfelt message to her husband of three years. Gabi included a wedding-day photo of her groom, and noted how she and Scotty make a “pretty great team.”
“Happiest when I’m with you,” said Gabi, in part, via Instagram. “Thankful for you sharing God’s love with me daily and being my greatest supporter and cheerleader, I like to think we make a pretty great team. Cheers to 3 years and counting! Love you!!! Also, reminiscing on this weekend never gets old!! The greatest weekend full of SO much love, with the best family and friends.”
