Who could be an inspiration for the best-selling female country singer Shania Twain?

It’s not a country artist. Instead, it’s a pop icon who is a fellow Vegas performer.

Shania Twain Finds Inspiration in a Pop Star

Twain’s in love with Britney Spears and her music. She even sees Spears as an inspiration due to her successful run in Las Vegas. Shania admits she sings Britney’s songs loudly while rocking out to the classic jams.

The country star shared her admiration for the singer during her podcast “Home Now Radio with Shania Twain” as she gushes over the pop star.

“Hit me baby one more time. Oh yeah! Britney Spears,” says Twain. “I don’t sound like her, but I sing along to her records.”

The Two Shine as Bright as the Vegas Strip

In fact, Shania says one of her best memories is watching Britney perform during her Vegas show.

“Britney Spears is another residency artist in Las Vegas that I have seen a few times,” she says. “She was initially in Zappos theater where I ended up myself and I loved the room. I thought her show was great and I was motivated to get on that same stage, so her show inspired me a lot.”

Although the two singers come from a different genre, they appear to be very much alike. With extravagant performances, lavish outfits, and powerful voices these women are lighting up Sin City with their talents.

Twain first began her show in 2019 and has put on epic performances ever since. Shania explains how she looks up to Britney and the accomplishments she’s made while in the Vegas spotlight. The pop icon’s show drew in such large crowds that her first residency lasted for an impressive four years. From 2013 to 2017 Spears’ first residency titled “Britney: Piece of Me” became a massive hit.

“It was a fantastic show,” Shania says about Britney’s performance.

An Little Known Fact About Shania and Britney

On her podcast, the country star revealed a little secret about how the two artists are connected.

“I actually co-wrote a song for her years ago in 2001, it was for the album ‘Oops!… I Did It Again,’” said Twain. “The song was called, ‘Don’t Let Me Be The Last to Know.’”
