Thomas Rhett is discovering how busy a dad can be in the summer time. It’s all about the camps.
He offered a glimpse of what it was like to be the dad of very active daughters with a sweet photo on Instagram.
He captioned it: “Princess dance camp, straight to cheerleading camp then date night with dad. Willa gray was literally falling asleep at the table. Then cookies came out and the party started.”
The daddy-daughter day sounded delightful. After all, every big day should end with cookies.
Thomas Rhett, the country star, loves to include his family in his music. They are his soul. He and his wife, Lauren Akins met in the first grade. The two were married in 2012.
And now, they share three beautiful girls. Willa Gray is 5. Ada James is 3 and Lennon Love is 16 months.
Rhett and his wife often share family stories. When Lauren had problems becoming pregnant, the couple decided to adopt. This was back in 2017 when they adopted Willa Gray. She was born in Uganda. Lauren became pregnant during the adoption process of Willa Gray. And sister Ada James came along three months after Willa Gray’s official adoption. Lennon Love was born in 2020. She was a very big positive in a pandemic-plagued year.
It’s a Girl! Thomas Rhett and Wife Announce They’re Expecting Fourth Daughter
Thomas Rhett said he would love to add a boy to the family. Because right now, the girls outnumber him, 3-1. And within a few months, the Rhett family will add another girl. A month ago, Rhett announced that Lauren is pregnant again. It’s a girl.
Rhett made the announcement at a performance in Fort Worth, Texas. He was about to perform new song ‘To the Guys That Date My Girls.” And he and Lauren decided it was the perfect time to announce their pregnancy.
Thomas Rhett posted on his Instagram account: “We are pumped to be having our 4th girl. Feel free to buy all the merch you want, knowing that all the proceeds are going straight to all these weddings I’ll be paying for one day! Love you so much Lauren Akins. We always wanted a big Thanksgiving table.”
Back in April, Rhett talked about how he wanted to spend individual time with each of his daughters.
“I just love getting to spend one-on-one time with each of them, which is something that I didn’t think was really important before,” Rhett told People. “I just thought as long as the five of us were together, we were good. But I think the longer I’ve gone as a dad, it’s like each child really does need that one-on-one time — in the same way that Lauren and I just need time with each other.”
