Thomas Rhett has a new venture: sandals!
The “Crash and Burn” singer debuted the first of his three collections with Chacos. He grew up wearing the brand’s shoes and wanted to create sandals for both men and women.
The collection features two styles for men and two styles for women. The shoes feature fly-fishing green-print straps. The designs retail for $60 or $105 on the company’s website.
Rhett shared that the inspiration came from one of his favorite places where he shared pivotal memories with his family.
“The Boulder idea came from my experience fishing the Boulder River in Montana,” Thomas Rhett explained. “I have loved fly-fishing for a while, but this is where the passion for fly-fishing kicked in, it’s where I caught my first trout and I have so many great memories fishing with my wife on that river.”
“When I’m outside my creativity levels go through the roof and it’s no wonder that nature has had such an influence on my new music,” Thomas Rhett added. “There is something about being outside that just takes the worries of the world away and depletes them, for at least an hour or so. It’s a place that you can slow down and learn how to live in the moment.”
10% of all proceeds go to the charity, Love One International. Rhett’s wife, Lauren Akins, serves on the Board of Directors. The nonprofit is close to his heart as it provides medical care to Ugandan children.
“A collaboration in the making since he started wearing Chacos in high school, these sandals are inspired by Thomas Rhett’s favorite moments outside,” the website reads.
“Each sandal design reflects a moment in life, where he felt in harmony with nature.”
The other two collections, Reflections and Big Sky Country, will be debuting later this summer.
Thomas Rhett’s Baby No. 4
Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins are expecting their fourth child. Rhett revealed with fans last month that his wife told him to make the announcement at one of his concerts. Unsurprisingly, they will be having their fourth baby girl!
“We are pumped to be having our 4th girl,” he wrote on Instagram. “Feel free to buy all the merch you want, knowing that all the proceeds are going straight to all these weddings I’ll be paying for one day! Love you so much @laur_akins we always wanted a big thanksgiving table.”
The happy couple adopted their first daughter, Willa, after meeting her during a trip to Uganda. They became an official family in 2017. Months later, Akins was pregnant and they welcomed their second daughter, Ada James. Finally, in 2020, she gave birth to Lennon Love.
