Alabama in August always is toasty. But who can complain when you’re listening to Thomas Rhett and you’re on a beach?
Thomas Rhett, the country superstar, tweeted some images of his Friday night concert from The Wharf at Orange Beach near the Alabama-Florida border. Round two is Saturday night.
Rhett tweeted “Good thing it wasn’t hot at all last night. Thank you for being so awesome at the opening of the Center Point Road Tour ORANGE BEACH NIGHT 1. Can’t wait for night 2! Who’s coming??”
Thomas Rhett Celebrated Kickoff of His Tour
Did you notice the photo of Thomas Rhett holding up a sign that says “My first concert’?
The concert tour is named for Rhett’s 2019 album. It was supposed to start last year, but the Covid-19 pandemic curtailed live music. He’ll also give concerts at stops including Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago and Charlotte. The tour ends, Oct. 9, in Raleigh, N.C.
Joining Thomas Rhett for the tour are Cole Swindell and Gabby Barrett. Rhett Akins, his dad, also is expected for some of the stops, as is Conner Smith. Rhett already performed with his father earlier this summer at the Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
He tweeted: “Till next time Cheyenne! Such a blast getting to play for y’all, and getting to do it with pops was awesome!” Thomas Rhett states in the post, which includes snapshots of his and his dad’s performance.
Earlier this year, Rhett released Country Again: Side A, his fifth studio album.
Rhett’s Life Revolves Around His Wife, Daughters
And when Thomas Rhett isn’t on stage, he’s being a husband and dad to three daughters, with another baby girl on the way by Thanksgiving. This week was pretty representative of his Girl Dad lifestyle.
On Thursday, Rhett wished middle daughter Ada James a happy fourth birthday. He tweeted: “Ada James! I can’t believe you are 4 years old. You are such a beaming light in this world. Happy birthday baby girl, I love you so much!”
And earlier this week, Rhett showed off the talents of oldest daughter Willa Gray. He posted a video of himself with Willa Gray performing a song. Rhett makes it clear it was the first-ever song Willa Gray wrote herself.
Thomas Rhett asked Willa Gray what she wanted to call her song. She’s shy, so she whispered something to her dad. And he told her: “You wrote it! What do you wanna call it? Willa Gray’s First Song?”
With an upbeat melody, Willa sings “You don’t have to do nothing for yourself.” She names her two sisters and some of her best friends.
“Anybody doesn’t have to go home,” she said. “You can spend the night with us.” (We all know little girls love slumber parties.)
