One of the greatest country love stories comes from Thomas Rhett and Lauren Akins. The two are always adorably sharing photos of their life, mementos of their growing family and their enduring love for each other. Rhett has often spoken about how Lauren awe-inspires him with her commitment to God and devotion to their three girls.
Despite their busy schedules, both Rhett and Akins make their marriage a priority. Rhett even wrote the songs “Die A Happy Man” and “Life Changes” about his longtime sweetheart.
Wedding Anniversary Celebrations
On their ninth wedding anniversary, Rhett is now sharing a photo of the night he says he knew he was going to marry Lauren. Grab the tissues, because his tribute is super sweet.
“This picture was taken in a field in Tennessee in 2011. I knew from this one night that we were gonna get married and grow old together. Here we are 9 years into marriage. I’m thankful to God everyday that You said yes to marrying me! What a wild ride of just being us two for 5 years, to now having 3 beautiful baby girls, to almost welcoming our 4th baby! What is life?!?! I love you so much @laur_akins and I can’t wait to see what the next 50 years has to hold for us,” Rhett captioned the photo.
Likewise, Akins shared a beautiful message alongside a photo of herself and Thomas Rhett on their wedding day.
“9 years ago today babe… so grateful for this life with you and our babies… thank you for loving me so well over the years of us 🙂 also, how fitting that Live in Love in Commitment with you is out today on our anniversary,” she said next to the photo.
As the two get ready to welcome their fourth child, we wish them many more years of happiness.
Thomas Rhett and His House Full of Gals
While the singer admits he and wife Lauren always dreamed of a big family, we’re sure he didn’t know he’d be having four daughters. Before unveiling a new song in Fort Worth, Texas this summer called “To the Guys That Date My Girls,” Rhett announced he was having a fourth daughter.
“We are pumped to be having our 4th girl,” Thomas Rhett then said in a post on Instagram. “Feel free to buy all the merch you want, knowing that all the proceeds are going straight to all these weddings I’ll be paying for one day! Love you so much Lauren Akins. We always wanted a big Thanksgiving table.”
We’re sure Rhett is the best “girl dad” around!
