Thomas Rhett is treating his fans to a sneak preview of the music video for his brand new single “What’s Your Country Song.”
The CMA award winner dropped a brief clip on Wednesday morning, on the release day for the new single. Rhett, 30, shared the clip with the caption: “This year has taught us all how to slow down, it’s reminded us of our roots and has shifted our perspectives. A lot has changed but a lot has come full circle for me and my music. Excited to share ‘What’s Your Country Song’ – the first single off the next record – out everywhere now at link in bio.”
He also revealed that the official video drops on Friday, November 13 at 10 a.m. on YouTube.
Rhett provides a voice-over on the preview. He touches on how 2020 has impacted everyone, and how the year’s challenges impacted him personally. “So much of life is spent looking forward-thinking about what’s next,” he said. “This year has forced me to slow down. It’s forced us all to slow down. A change of pace, a change of perspective. If you love country music like I do then you know exactly what I’m talking about.”

Earlier this week, Rhett’s wife, Lauren Akins, celebrated her 31st birthday. The “Die a Happy Man” singer penned a touching post about her and posted on social media.
“Happiest of birthdays to my lovely wife @laur_akins🙌🙌 you continue to amaze me as a mother, as a giver, and as a friend,” he captioned the post. “I love how much you love your friends and how much your friends love you. you get more and more beautiful every single day. I consider myself to be one of the luckiest dudes in the world and i thank God he let me spend my life with you.”
Rhett concluded the post by writing: “I hope you felt loved, cherished and celebrated this weekend! Only 9 more years till your 40!! I love you!”
