Get ready for some amazing and adorable news, Outsiders. Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren Akins just announced the arrival of baby Lillie Carolina Akins.

The country singer shared a post on Instagram tonight, calling his wife his hero and informing fans of the little bundle of joy’s entrance. Lillie Carolina Akins was born on November 15, but the couple wasn’t ready to announce the good news until today.

Weighing in at 7.5 pounds, Lillie Carolina Akins is the fourth addition to Thomas Rhett’s family. And we’re going to go out on a limb and say the couple is going to have their hands full with four children under six years old.

Like plenty of dads out there, Thomas Rhett was blown away by the miraculous act of bringing a child into this world. And he wanted to make sure Lauren got her props, calling his wife his “hero.” The hero herself shared an announcement post via Instagram around the same time as her husband. Who knew so much cuteness could be contained in a single photo?

Thomas Rhett’s A Family Man Through and Through

We love him for his music, and it’s obviously one of the biggest passions of his life. But Thomas Rhett’s career takes a backseat to his family. The arrival of Lillie Carolina Akins only adds to the reasons Rhett has to be thankful. Lillie joins siblings Willa Gray Akins, Ada James Akins, and Lennon Love Akins. The singer has become the ultimate girl dad.

And fortunately, Thomas Rhett is at a place in his career where his music and his family overlap. It’s hard to beat love when it comes to songwriting. And the love he has for his family is seemingly boundless.

“If I had to re-phrase ‘Thank You Lord,’ it would definitely be ‘Thank You Lord for My Family.’ Thank you Lord for my kids and this life that you’ve blessed us with because it’s been such a crazy ride and I think without my family, I really don’t know where I would be,” Rhett told CMT News in 2020 of his family in regard to the Christian song he did with Florida Georgia Line.

Speaking of birthdays, just a few weeks ago, Thomas Rhett wrote a touching birthday message for his then-pregnant wife on Twitter.
