Legendary Country Music star Tim McGraw is heaping praise on a new Apple TV documentary featuring Bruce Springsteen.
McGraw tweeted out a 32-second trailer of the documentary on Friday. The singer seems to be excited to watch the Springsteen piece that was released earlier this week.
“Badass!” he proclaims with several exclamation points following the wording. “This is artistry!”
The documentary is titled “letter to you” and details the process for creating Springsteen’s newest album. The album’s name is also “Letter to You.”
The Boss, as the rocker is often called, has been a busy man as of late. “Letter to You” is his 20th studio album and marks his first reunion with his signature E Street Band in four years. The band was last together in 2016 for “The River” tour, according to Billboard.
The album includes 12 tracks, including unreleased compositions from the 1970’s. The film dives into the process the band took to complete the project in a short amount of time. The album was produced at Springsteen’s New Jersey home studio.
Springsteen Talks New Album
Speaking with Zane Lowe on Apple Music, the Boss says songs on the album were completed in less than two weeks.
“It was a great project for us,” he says in the interview. “I don’t think we have ever played live together in the studio and then kept everything that we did on the full take, all the singing, all the playing. It’s the E Street Band really completely live.”
The band was planning a tour to support the album but the coronavirus pandemic has put those plans on hold for the time being. The band could still tour in the future to promote the album.
Apple TV describes the documentary as a “tribute to the E Street Band, Rock-n-Roll and the way music has shaped Bruce Springsteen’s life.
