Country stars Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have three daughters, and their eldest, Gracie, recently posted a cute picture to Instagram.

In the picture, Gracie poses smiling with a fluffy white dog. She’s clad in a tank top and wearing hoop earrings. And Gracie captioned the post with a warning label: “POS ‘Parent Over Shoulder.’”

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Celebrate Their Eldest Growing Up

Gracie will turn 24 this May. Last May, on her birthday, her parents both took to Instagram to celebrate the young woman.

“Our oldest is 23… Wow,” McGraw posted. “The sweetest, kindest heart in the world… So beautiful inside and out. She’s always there for her friends. Always there for her family…. And always there with a big smile and a boisterous laugh. We love her so much.”

For her part, Hill posted a photo of Gracie as a toddler dressed in Teletubbies overalls.

“When you wake up on the day your oldest daughter has just turned 23 years old and you find this photo that shows just how fast time flies. I don’t have the words,” Hill wrote. “This photo just brought me to tears. Seeing Gracie dressed in her favorite overalls (which I still have btw) standing on top of the bathroom counter with Tim’s mom, otherwise known as me-maw in the background was just too much this morning.”

Gracie has already followed her parents into performing. When she was 18 she joined an all-female alt rock group that went by the name Tingo. And in 2015, she took to the stage at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville to sing “Here Tonight” with McGraw.

Gracie reportedly lives in Los Angeles, where she is building a career in acting.

Gracie’s Parents Wrestle With Anxiety

Despite their recognition of Gracie’s talents in the performing arts — she taught herself to play the guitar and has a strong singing voice — McGraw and Hill can’t help but be nervous about their daughter’s launch into the world.

In an interview with New Beauty, Hill hinted at that anxiety, but said all she can do is stand back and wish Gracie well.

“Tim and I know what it takes to really do this for a living, but, as a parent, you don’t want to stand in the way of their dreams,” she said. “It’s been one of the most difficult things for me as a mom — especially as a mom of all girls. You want to protect them; you want to make sure they aren’t disappointed. I’m certain all parents would say that about their kids, but there is a point you have to remember, ‘I was 19 once, and I remember the passion and the drive I had, and I just have to let them go and do it.’”

She added that she and McGraw have tried to instill a healthy work ethic in their girls. And they can only hope that will carry them far in life.
