It appears that Gracie McGraw has already got a head start on Mother’s Day as well as Father’s Day: the 23-year-old got a tattoo in her parent’s honor. Faith Hill and Tim McGraw’s oldest daughter Gracie shared her new ink with her followers on Instagram.

In the photo, she shows off the inside of her left forearm, which now includes a permanent cowboy boot. In addition to the boot, it also includes numerous designs that represent something special to her.

According to the accompanying caption, the cowboy boot contains the letters “T” and “F” for her superstar parents, Tim and Faith. There’s also a magnolia flower to signify the states of Louisiana and Mississippi, her parents’ home states. An Iris flower also appears as an homage to her home state of Tennessee.

The Meaning Behind Tim McGraw’s Daughter’s Tattoo

The magnolia is the state flower of Louisiana and a typical bloom found in the Southern regions, and the iris is the state flower of Tennessee. “T & F for T & F,” Gracie wrote. “Iris for Tennessee. Magnolia for Louisiana and Mississippi. Boot cuz YEEHAW.”

She may be living in California at the moment, but it’s evident her roots are in the south. Although she hasn’t pursued country music professionally, both of her parents are incredibly proud of their daughter. While her Instagram bio may read that she’s an actor, she’s also got some serious pipes. Her vocal prowess was put on display when she acted as the lead singer of the band, “Tingo” in 2015.

They even recorded an EP, consisting of four songs: “Fireman,” “Let It Out,” “Tinted Red” and “Underlying Sexual Desire.” However, it appears that the band has taken a break from recording new music. That same year, she made her dad proud when she joined him on stage for a rendition of their song, “Here Tonight” at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

During an interview, McGraw confessed that he was nervous to ask his daughter to partner with him on the song. “I was afraid to ask her because she’s way cooler than I am, and I was scared to death that she would say no,” he said.

Even though she’s pursuing a career on screen, she could have a decent shot at a career in music. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been married since 1996. In addition to Gracie, they also have two other daughters: Maggie, 22, and Audrey, 19.
