Tim McGraw has been burning the candle at both ends, apparently, and that led the country star to lose his temper at a recent concert in Reno, Nevada. After forgetting some of the lyrics to “Just to See You Smile,” the singer hopped offstage and into the audience to confront some hecklers who were yelling at him over his performance.
A video obtained by TMZ showed McGraw seeming to forget the words to the song midway through, then stopping his show to confront the hecklers.
McGraw basically told them that they were welcome to leave if they were unhappy with his performance. But it didn’t end there. McGraw then leaped offstage into the crowd to tell the couple in question what he thought of them.
As the show began to spiral out of control, other audience members started yelling at McGraw for stopping the show. McGraw eventually hopped back onstage, whereupon he explained that he’d been up for 48 hours filming the “Yellowstone” prequel “1883,” in which he stars as John Dutton’s (Kevin Costner) ancestor James Dutton.
“If I forget words tonight, just know I’m old,” McGraw told the audience, per Fox News. “And I’m shooting a movie and I’m working with my wife. There are a lot of variables in that situation. So, if I forget the words, sing along with me and help me out.”
Tim McGraw Fans Support the Singer
Meanwhile, Tim McGraw fans took to social media to defend the country star. They pointed out that many people love his music and that he’s only human.
“Give the guy a break! We all love Tim McGraw!” one fan tweeted at TMZ.
“Love Tim McGraw,” another Twitter user posted.
“Really enjoying this Tim McGraw…,” yet another tweep chimed in.
Looks like there are plenty of country music fans who don’t mind if a singer stumbles over a few words.
McGraw and Hill Sell Their Island in the Bahamas
When it all gets to be too much, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill can always kick back on their island in the Bahamas… or they could before, anyway. The couple recently sold their vacation island for an unknown amount. They listed it this past February for $35 million.
The island, known as Lile d’Anges, or Goat Cay, spans 19.77 acres, 1.3 miles of it waterfront property, Taste of Country reports. When the couple bought it, the island had no previous infrastructure to rely on, so McGraw and Hill had to pay to construct that as well as housing for the construction crew.
It was quite an undertaking, but when all was said and done, the country stars had a 6,517-square foot mansion with four bedrooms, five bathrooms, covered verandas and a pool terrace.
They bought the island in 2003 and finished building the mansion in 2012. The couple has sold other opulent real estate in recent years, including a Beverly Hills mansion and a Nashville mansion. But they still have a 5-bedroom, 10-bathroom home to call their own.
