Earlier today, country legend Tim McGraw shared a behind-the-scenes video from the “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s” music video shoot with his wife, Faith Hill. He posted a teaser for the video to Twitter, however, but he linked it to the full video on Youtube. The full video lasts for almost two and a half minutes, however, the sneak-peek snippet only shows eighteen seconds.
“Looking back on shooting the “Meanwhile Back at Mama’s” music video at the farm with my remarkable wife,” McGraw said in the Tweet. “we dug up some behind-the-scenes footage from the day and it’s up on Youtube!”
The two-and-a-half-minute video shows some footage from the farm and short interviews with Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Shane Drake, the director of the video. The song, by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, came out as a single in April of 2014. It also appeared on McGraw’s album Sundown Heaven Town later that year. The music video for “Meanwhile Back at Mamas” released in June of 2014, two months after the single.
Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s Farm
The music video was shot at Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s family farm located just outside of Nashville. The video has a very casual vibe to it, displaying the couple in their unglamorous, everyday life. The beautiful farm provides the perfect aesthetic for the video as the natural landscape reflects their natural relationship.
“We’re having a good time,” Faith Hill says in the behind-the-scenes video. “This is relaxed and this kind of how we are when we aren’t on stage with all the cameras around us.”
“Yeah that’s kind of the whole idea,” Shane Drake, the Director adds. “To kind of Juxtapose that life that we get to see as fans with the life that we don’t get to see.”
Thanks to this video shared by McGraw, we get an even better picture of the couples’ life without the cameras around.
