Tim McGraw Releases Music Video For Thanksgiving
McGraw knows how important loved ones are to Thanksgiving. He recently released a nostalgic tribute to families and their memories, just in time for the holiday. The video accompanies music from his song “Gravy,” which McGraw released on his 15th studio album “Here on Earth.”
“I know Thanksgiving looks a little different for a lot of us this year,” McGraw wrote. “Let’s take care of each other and remember what’s most important in life…. The ones we share it with. Everything else is gravy.”
It was a separate song from that album that made McGraw cry. The song “I Called Mama” overwhelmed the country singer because of his own love for his mother. He said he tried to play the song for Faith several times but struggled with his emotions.
“Ultimately the first person you want to reach to and the person who makes you feel the most secure out of anybody is your mom,” McGraw said. “For me anyway and for most people, I think. Especially guys and their mamas. It’s something that really spoke to me.”
“I wanted to learn the first verse and chorus so I could play it for her,” McGraw continued. “I’ll be d–ned if I didn’t play it for her, and I could never get through it. I would just fall apart when I got to ‘I called mama.’ I’m doing it now. ‘I called mama’ and it just does it to me every time I hear it.”
