Tim McGraw Showers Wife Faith Hill With Compliments, Compares Her to 3 Music Icons

For years, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have been country music’s power couple, with a love as strong as their vocal abilities. As solo performers and duet acts, the two have left a lasting impression on the country music industry.

After tying the knot on October 6, 1996, they welcomed their first daughter, Gracie, one year later. Gracie was followed by her sisters Maggie and Audrey. With three daughters, all of whom are in their 20s now, McGraw has spent his fatherhood as a proud girl dad — something he loves.

Twenty years later, the family and their Mgraw and Hill’s love for one another is as strong as ever. That love was exemplified in 2014 when McGraw sat down with Oprah Winfrey and he gushed about his wife.

During Oprah’s Master Class, McGraw couldn’t help but wear his heart on his sleeve when his wife got brought up. However, this wasn’t the first time he publicly swooned over his wife. Throughout their marriage, he’s been known to show his devotion to his wife whenever possible.

Tim Mcgraw Sheds Tears While Speaking About Family

However, for this interview, McGraw got visibly choked up when discussing his wife. During one part of the interview, McGraw got emotional when talking about his continued amazement whenever he sees her perform.

“It so effortless,” he said, describing his wife’s vocal ability and stage presence. “She walks out, and it’s like Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, and Brigitte Bardot all rolled into one when she comes out and starts singing. It amazes me every night— every chance that I get to sing with her — to sit back and watch her.”

Viewers can see tears well up in his eyes as he talks about Hill raising their girls. At one point, McGraw is so emotional that he actually has to pause to regain his composure before he continues talking with Winfrey.

“I think about the fact that we’re married, the fact that we have raised these three beautiful daughters, and then I think about having three daughters and having her for their mom. I mean, it’s a pretty cool thing for those girls to have her,” he said about Hill. Wiping away tears, it’s evident from the way he speaks about Hill that his love for her will last lifetimes.

Mcgraw Opens Up About New Album

In addition to staying busy with his family, McGraw has been busy promoting the deluxe version of Here on EarthThe album, which arrived this month, features six new songs.

Tim McGraw posted a clip discussing his new track “Truth Is.” Jennifer Hanson, Newton North, and Pete Good co-wrote the song.

“It’s a story about a guy who has lost his girlfriend, she’s left him and he’s going out. You know all the relationships that you build up as a couple through a long time of dating or a long time of being married,” he said. “When that relationship falls apart, you start looking at all the other relationships that are involved in that relationship.”

He added, “I had this sonic vision of what I wanted this record to sound like when we went into the studio, and this song really nailed exactly what I wanted.”
