Tim McGraw and Tyler Hubbard came together to encourage others that “maybe we can make a difference” by spreading an optimistic message of love and unity in their upcoming song “Undivided.”

Before the dawning of a new year, Tim McGraw tweeted a photo with six simple words: “Maybe we can make a difference.” However, after a year filled with loss, heartache, fear, and separation, those words present a much more powerful meaning.

Tim McGraw & Tyler Hubbard Unite to Spread Positivity

McGraw has been teasing the collaboration with Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard on social media for the past several days. On Jan. 5, he finally gave fans a 15-second video with a snippet of the song playing in the background. The two musicians are shown working together in the recording studio.

“Undivided” isn’t a sad ballad looking back on last year’s tragedies, nor is it a forceful or grim protest song. In fact, it’s been described as the exact opposite. A statement was released, announcing “Undivided” as being an “upbeat and heartfelt collaboration.” A single that brings a smile to your face and adds a little bounce in your step.

It’s nearly impossible to feel unhappy while listening to the peppy, catchy single.

“I loved the positivity of this song and that it called me to check myself and to remember that love is bigger. It’s why I knew this song had to be my next single with Tyler as soon as he sent it to me,” McGraw said.

The Powerful Message Behind the Upbeat “Undivided”

“Undivided” is impactful, especially during these unprecedented times, spreading hope and positivity. Behind the light-hearted and fun tune, the song is filled with beautiful, faithful, and positive lyrics.

For example, the chorus perfectly sums up the message of “Undivided”, stating:

“I think it’s time to come together / You and I can make a change / Maybe we can make a difference / Make the world a better place/ Look around and love somebody/ We’ve been hateful long enough/ Let the Good Lord reunite us/ ‘Til this country that we love’s/ Undivided.”

If that doesn’t make you smile or feel like we can all come together to make the world a better place, then listen to the rest of the song when it’s released on the 13th. It will surely drive that heartwarming feeling into your soul.

“Maybe We Can Make A Difference”

After testing positive for COVID-19, Tyler Hubbard spent two weeks quarantined on his tour bus. During the isolation period, he was able to reflect on the current situations affecting America. He began writing what was in his heart and on his mind. Thinking on the country reuniting, healing, and everyone finding common ground regardless of differences in opinions.

“I knew immediately when I finished it, I had to text it to Tim. He has a way of communicating with the world that is unique in music,” Tyler said. “For him to want to perform with me was an amazing feeling. The song is about coming together, and that’s exactly what we did.”

“Undivided” is set to release as a single on Wednesday, January 13. It will be featured on the deluxe edition of McGraw’s album “Here on Earth,” scheduled to be released in the spring of 2021.
