Country star Toby Keith was up early on Friday morning reminiscing about getting back on stage to play live shows sooner rather than later.
Like most musicians, the “Red Solo Cup” singer hasn’t toured in a while because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with precautions in place and the vaccine increasingly available to the public, many artists are gearing up to play concerts again.
Keith is obviously eager to get back on the road and perform for his fans. In fact, he’s literally counting down the weekends before making his return to the stage. The country singer has upcoming live shows scheduled that begin in late April. Just a few more weekends to cross off his calendar before Keith gets to hit the stage.
“Every weekend is one weekend closer to being back on stage,” Toby Keith wrote on Twitter.
The country artist kicks off his Country Comes To Town Tour on April 30 in Estero, Florida. The 23-city tour makes stops all across the nation with a focus on smaller towns, instead of big cities. Keith’s tour runs through the summer and ends with a free show at the Freedom Fest in Fort Polk, Louisiana. Tickets and more information on his tour is available on Keith’s official website.
Toby Keith Shares How He’s Enjoying His Weekend
As Toby Keith counts down the weekends before he’s able to play shows again, he’s filling his weekends with some throwback country music.
The singer has been one of country music’s biggest acts in the last couple of decades. He’s got multiple chart-topping singles to his name in the last 20 years, and suggested that fans tune in to Spotify’s “Country’s Greatest Hits: The ’00s” playlist. There’s sure to be plenty of Keith’s music on the playlist along with other fellow country artists of the 2000s.
“End the weekend on a high note by turnin’ up @Spotify’s “Country’s Greatest Hits: The ’00s” playlist,” Keith tweeted to his Twitter followers.
Many of Keith’s fans thanked him for sharing the playlist that also features country stars Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Kenny Chesney. It sounds like for many, their playlist was dialed in for the weekend thanks to Toby Keith.
