Toby Keith Shares How He’s Enjoying the Weekend

Country music star Toby Keith took to social media on Sunday morning to let his fans and followers know how he was enjoying his weekend.

As one of the country music industry’s biggest stars over the past 20 years, Toby Keith has put out several chart-topping singles during his career. And it turns out that on the weekend during a global pandemic, Keith enjoys playing back some of his classic tunes along with those from his fellow country stars.

The Oklahoma native took to his official Twitter account on Sunday morning to encourage fans to end their weekend the same way he was. And that is by cranking up the volume on Spotify’s “Country’s Greatest Hits: The ’00s” playlist.

“End the weekend on a high note by turnin’ up @Spotify’s “Country’s Greatest Hits: The ’00s” playlist,” Keith wrote on Twitter.

Toby Keith posted a link to the playlist so that his 1.2 million followers could enjoy some of the nostalgia. If his comments section was any indication, it seems like a lot of country music fans will be tuning in. Many people sent replies thanking Keith for sharing the playlist with the public.

One Twitter user, Gail Ward (@GailWar28321388), left a message saying, “Stay safe and enjoy your weekend sir. Love the ’00s music especially yours.”

Nancy Marie (@nmmarie75) left a similar reply. She wrote, “Thanks for sharing that Toby. I love country music, you stay safe.”

And finally, MJ Overholt (@mj_overholt) commented, “Your greatest hits are my fav. Happy Sunday, Toby.”

Some of Toby Keith Greatest Hits Came in the 2000s

As Toby Keith shares one of his favorite playlists with fans and followers, we are taking a look back at some of the country star’s classic songs from the 2000s.

After signing with DreamWorks Records, Toby Keith released his first breakthrough single called, “How Do You Like Me Now?!” That song went on to become the No. 1 country song of the year 2000.

Meanwhile, Keith’s next three albums, Pull My Chain, Unleashed, and Shock’n Y’all, would each put out their own No. 1 song. Further, each of those three albums was certified 4x Platinum.

The singer and songwriter eventually began his own record label titled, Show Dog Nashville. That was before merging it with Universal South Records to become Show-Dog Universal Music. Keith put out 10 studio albums through the record label from 2006’s White Trash with Money to 2017’s The Bus Songs.
