Travis Tritt Shares Final Message Before Singing National Anthem at NASA Launch

Country music star Travis Tritt took to social media on Sunday to express his excitement over his role in the NASA SpaceX launch. Tritt will be performing the National Anthem before the shuttle departs earth for the International Space Station.

NASA officials say the launch is expected at 7:27 ET tonight.

“Welcome to launch day,” the tweets say. “#LaunchAmerica coverage on nasa.gov/lives starts at 3:15 p.m. ET. Liftoff is at 7:27 p.m. ET. The latest weather forecast stand 50 percent favorable for NASA’s @SpaceX Crew-1mission to @space_station.”

The tweet attaches a photo of the four astronauts who will be making the journey into space and to the International Space Station.

Tritt has taken to social media on a couple of different occasions to talk about the opportunity before him. On Sunday, he tweets that he is thrilled to be participating.

“I am thrilled to be singing our National Anthem for this event,” Tritt says. “Wishing all the best for a successful launch!”

Tritt Fans Excited for Him to Sing National Anthem

Many of Tritt’s adoring fans also used Twitter to wish the country good luck and congratulate him on the honor.

“Wishing you the best!!” a fan tweets. “God bless you and God Bless America.”

The Grammy Award winner shared the news of his anthem performance on Twitter earlier this week.

“Tune in before the launch of @NASA’s @SpaceX Crew-1 mission and watch Travis perform our National Anthem,” the tweet says. The launch is now happening Sunday evening after inclement weather delayed it from its original Saturday schedule.
