There’s never a bad time to show some love to your mama, but you better do it on her birthday. Just ask Travis Tritt.

The country legend took to social media to show his appreciation and love for his mom, Gwen. Alongside James Tritt, Gwen raised Travis Tritt in Marietta, Georgia. Besides buying him his first guitar and supporting his musical endeavors, it sounds like she has just been a great mom according to the “Smoke in a Bar” singer.

What’s even better is that Tritt and his family were able to get together with his mom for dinner, according to his post.

“Had a chance to celebrate my mom’s birthday with her, my wife and kids today,” Travis Tritt wrote. Happy Birthday to the sweetest mom anyone could ever ask for!”

It’s also nice to see several generations of the Tritt family together. For those unaware, his two sons, Tristan James and Tarian Nathaniel Tritt are on the left side. His daughter, Tyler Reese as well as his wife, Theresa Nelson Tritt, are on the right side.

And of course, the photo features mother and son in the center. All around, just a sweet family picture.

Travis Tritt Gets Back on the Road

One of the best parts of being a musician is getting to play in front of fans. With musicians and their audiences being separated for most of the past year or so, seeing legends like Travis Tritt is exciting.

And no one loves it more than the man himself. Ever since he’s hit the road, the country singer-songwriter has been eager to share the atmosphere from his crowds. In one of his latest posts, the singer uploaded videos of performances of “Smoke in a Bar” and “It’s a Great Day to Be Alive.”

The caption says all you need to know.

“There is no way to describe the thrill I get from entertaining an audience,” Tritt wrote.

While “Smoke in a Bar” is one of his newer cuts, “It’s A Great Day to Be Alive” is a song pretty much any country fan knows. Peaking at the No.2 spot on the Hot Country Songs chart on Billboard, and was one of three singles from the album, Down the Road I Go.

It’s an exciting time for musicians as they finally get to hit the stage, but it’s also special for Tritt in a specific way. The country legend made his proper return with the new album Set in Stone in May, and that means these shows are the first time people are seeing his new music.
