Country singers Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary, and Yearwood is still smitten with her husband.

Yearwood Posts Anniversary Message

“Happy 15th Wedding Anniversary Garth & Trisha!” Yearwood’s Instagram account reads. “Thanks for reminding us all that the world will bend and the fight will end.”

For his part, Brooks also marked the anniversary on his Facebook Live show “Studio G,” Country 103.7 reports.

“This is the second 15 years of our life,” Brooks said. “That’s the crazy thing. We met in ’87, ’88… got married in 2005. So, we went through the first phase as friends… and [then] the first 15 years as husband and wife.”

“And I’m going to put all of my money that the third 15 years is going to be the best 15 years of my life,” Brooks added.

Moreover, Yearwood said the two are still good friends and have a symbiotic relationship.

“We have a friendship that’s a great base for all of it,” Yearwood said. “It wasn’t okay to just go, ‘We’re married now; we’re just still going to do our own thing.’ So that meant that we make those decisions together when we married. And we’re together! I mean, 99-percent of the time we’re together. We don’t spend very many nights apart at all. And I think that’s a big part of it.”

Holiday Concerts and Traditions

The couple are preparing for a big holiday concert on Dec. 20. Airing on CBS, the concert is titled “Garth & Trisha Live! A Holiday Concert Event.”

Dec. 20 is also the release date of Brooks’ next album, Fun

Meanwhile, Brooks and Yearwood have been gearing up for Christmas. Brooks has three daughters from a previous marriage, and they always gather together for the holidays.

“The only thing we really do as a family that we have to do is… decorate the tree together,” Yearwood said. “Now that they’re grown and [are] living in different places, we still make it that the tree doesn’t get decorated until we’re together. So, it might go up and be bare for a week or two until we can get everybody together, and we’ll make sure to do that.”
