Country music superstar Carrie Underwood is known for an impressive physique and the work she puts in to get it.
She recently put out a fitness video that shows her working out and performing exercises as an NBA star join in. It may seem like an unlikely tandem, but Underwood and Houston Rockets star James Harden make for a great team in the commercial. The short video featuring the duo promotes hydration sports drink “Body Armor Lyte” as the go to for intense workouts. Underwood put the video out on her social media page early Monday morning.
“Hydration is one of the most important things in all that I do,” she writes in the post’s caption. “That is why I am partnering with @DrinkBODYARMOR LYTE!”
Underwood is a huge deal on social media with more than 10 million follower on Instagram alone. As impressive as that number is, Harden, one of this decade’s most popular athletes, has her beat with more than 11 million Instagram followers. After posting the video to her Instagram account, it got more than 50,000 views in less than 30 minutes.
Carrie Underwood, James Harden Star in Body Armor Ad
The ad begins with Underwood wrapping up a set of chin-ups and taking a sip of her Body Armor drink. Also in the gym is Harden, who is working out his back with the lat pulldown machine. The NBA All-Pro notices the country singer and songwriter is taking a break from her routine.
“Calling it a day, Carrie?” Harden asks Underwood.
The “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Before he Cheats” singer replies that she is no where close to being done with her workout.
The video then shows Underwood going through the demands of her daily routine that includes exercise, a performance and house work.
“I should have this wrapped up by midnight,” she says to Harden while banging out a few crunches.
“Impressive,” Harden simply replies.
