Carrie Underwood continues to establish herself as a country music superstar. She’s been on an upward ride since her victory in the fourth season of “American Idol.”

Right now, though, let’s take a look back to a 2007 appearance Underwood made at Rockefeller Center in New York City. She beautifully sings the Christmas classic “Do You Hear What I Hear” in front of many people in attendance and more watching on TV.

Christmas Spirit Comes Through Underwood’s Songs

The spirit of Christmas is quite evident when Underwood performs either classic or newly-written holiday material.

On Thursday, Dec. 3, Underwood debuts “My Gift: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood” on HBO Max.

According to Underwood’s website, “…HBO Max is spreading holiday cheer with the debut of Carrie’s new music special ‘My Gift: A Christmas Special From Carrie Underwood.’

“On the special, she is accompanied by her band, as well as a live orchestra and choir, conducted by Carrie’s longtime friend, Emmy® Award-winning musical director Rickey Minor.

“Besides that lineup, “the special features many heartfelt moments and performances, including a duet with John Legend, singing ‘Hallelujah,’ an original song he co-wrote with Toby Gad, which appears on My Gift. Viewers will also get an inside look behind the scenes of Underwood recording ‘Little Drummer Boy’ with her five-year-old son Isaiah.”

In the meantime, the official video for “Hallelujah” arrived before Thanksgiving.

On Friday, Underwood shared on Twitter a short clip of her latest song “Favorite Time of Year.”

Success Train Keeps Rolling For Carrie Underwood

Underwood’s success crosses multiple areas.

Whether it’s in music, television, film, or books, she’s found a way to score victories.

She appears on everyone’s TV each Sunday throughout the National Football League season as the lead-in voice for NBC’s “Sunday Night Football.”

Speaking of sports, what a winning track record for Underwood.

She has seven platinum or multi-platinum albums, has sold more than 64 million records worldwide, and recorded 27 No. 1 singles (14 of which she co-wrote).

The Muskogee, Okla., native is married to husband Mike and has two children, Isaiah and Jacob.
