WATCH: Charlie Daniels Band Plays ‘American Farmer’ At Farm Aid 1985

It is no surprise to fans that the Charlie Daniels Band and its performances would highlight the lead singer and fiddler’s soft heart for hard-working Americans.

Obviously, this would include farmers who work tirelessly in keeping the United States and its citizens fed.

The Charlie Daniels Band put on an incredible, epic performance of “American Farmer” at Farm Aid 1985. It remains as meaningful today as it did at the event 35 years ago.

Take a few minutes and listen to the band play.

Daniels’ Heart For Helping People Was Always There

The Charlie Daniels Band and its leader always had time for people in need.

According to Daniels’ biography on his official website, “From his Dove Award-winning gospel albums to his genre-defining Southern rock anthems and his CMA Award-winning country hits, few artists have left a more indelible mark on America’s musical landscape than Charlie Daniels.”

Daniels was “an outspoken patriot and beloved mentor to young artists.”

“Charlie has parlayed his passion for music into a multi-platinum career and a platform to support the military, underprivileged children, and others in need.”

Meanwhile, the biography continues saying that “any conversation with the legendary artist, however, rarely includes any of his accomplishments.

“He’d rather shine the spotlight on the many causes that are close to his heart.”

For the past several years, Daniels headlined a special concert at David Lipscomb University. It benefitted the Yellow Ribbon Program, which provides scholarships for veterans.

In the meantime, among the supporters of Daniels for an evening of music include Luke Bryan, Clint Black, Jason Aldean, Chris Young, and Lee Greenwood.

Chris Stapleton Gives Thanks For Charlie Daniels Band

In any case, Daniels’ work continues to cast a large shadow across the country music scene. His heart and soul for humanity and country during his lifetime is an image worth following.

Country music star Chris Stapleton says he grew up listening to Daniels’ music.

“Probably from a musical standpoint, I would have to say Charlie Daniels was probably somebody that I listened to the most. Those records were in heavy rotation for me when I was a young man,” Stapleton told Taste of Country.

“They were records that my dad listened to. And I met Charlie a handful of times,” Stapleton said.

To sum up, Daniels is an influential member of country music legends and his music will always be remembered.
