Garth Brooks may want to hold on to his Grammy awards a little tighter; it seems like someone is coming for his spot: his daughter.

It’s undeniable that the Brooks clan has a knack for musical talent. For decades Brooks has been delivering country music hits and unforgettable performances. His daughter’s mother, Sandy Mahl is a credited songwriter who penned “I’ve Got a Good Thing Going” from Brooks’ self-titled debut album, as well as his 1993 hit “That Summer.”

Garth Brooks’ wife, Trisha Yearwood, has also made a name for herself in the industry as a standout female vocalist who has had a decades-long career. Now, it appears like his daughter, Allie Colleen, is well on her way to making her own path as a vocalist.

Since she was a teenager, Allie has been showcasing her talent, singing covers in various venues and bars.

Allie put her own spin on the classic song, “Travelin’ Soldier,” made famous by The Chicks for one performance. The heartwrenching patriotic tune was the group’s 2002 single and the band’s sixth single to reach No. 1 off their album Home.

Sitting on a stool in the Nashville bar known as Scoreboard, Allie began her set by strumming her guitar, then lending her southern twang to the song. Soon after she started singing, she captured everyone’s attention— not because she was the daughter of a country superstar— but because her voice radiated with ease and flawlessness.

Later, the audience began singing along with Allie, clearly in sync with her and the song’s message. When she finished, the crowd erupted in applause, proving she shares a passion for singing just like her parents.

Garth Brooks’ Daughter Prepares to Release Debut Album

Garth Brooks prides himself on being a “girl dad.” He is a father to three girls: Taylor, August, and Allie. Since 14-years-old, Allie has made it her goal in life to pursue music. In May of 2019 graduated from Belmont University, something she promised her father she would do before pursuing a music career full-time. She completed her degree with a focus in Songwriting and Music Business.

Now, Allie devotes 100 percent of her time to music. Following graduation, Allie has released several original songs, in addition to her covers. Now, she’s gearing up to release her debut albumStones, slated for release in April. The lead single from the album “Playin’ House,” is set to be dropped on April 2.
