The “King of Country” continues to impress his fans. George Strait posted a video of him golfing to his Twitter account on Monday (Nov. 30). Taking to some beautiful golf course somewhere, Strait hits a good looking tee shot.

The country music icon captions the post “Fore!” While the shot looks good in the looped video, there’s always a chance that the ball didn’t end up on the green.

Showcasing his excellent form on the shot, Strait clearly isn’t hitting the links for the first time. It looks like this isn’t his first rodeo.

It seems like everyone is a golf nut these days. In the middle of a pandemic, it makes sense.

Strait Off The Golf Course

Strait didn’t earn the title “King of Country” for no reason. He has been a country legend for roughly 30 years now.

Strait was born in 1952 in a small town in Texas called Poteet. In 1981, at age 29, he released his first studio single, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Country singles chart. “Unbound,” consequently, was Strait’s first single in the top ten.

However, Strait did not stop there en route to becoming one of the most legendary country singers of all time. He has only ever sung country music and is unlikely to change genres before he dies. Over his career, so far, he has released 28 studio albums.

Also, he has sold more than 100 million records throughout his career. Amongst those records, Strait has produced 60 number one hits. Strait has even been on screen in a lead role for the popular film “Pure Country.” And more impressively, he has won 17 CMA awards, three of which are “Entertainer of the Year.” He also has won a Grammy Award.

Strait’s most recent album is “Honky Tonk Time Machine.” However, fans are anticipating a couple more albums to be released.

Although he is 68 years old, he plans on touring this coming summer. His tour is set for July and August 2021. So, go get your tickets now!
