Jason Aldean and his son wished George Strait a happy birthday in the most adorable way possible. George strait, known as the “King of Country,” is celebrating his 69th birthday today.

In the video, Aldean says, “Hey, what’s up, Mr. George. I just wanted to say, happy birthday, man. You know you’re one of my favorites.”

Then, Aldean has his son say, “You’re the king man!”

Aldean’s son sure has grown over the years. Now, he has some adorably long hair.

Fans have also wished George Strait a happy birthday. Under a tweet made today on “the King’s” official Twitter account, he received an outpouring of birthday messages.

“Traveled many backroads to a lot of your songs,” one twitter user wrote, “Thanks for all you did for country music. I hope you have happy birthday.”

“Happy Birthday to one of the greatest country music legends to ever walk this Earth. Much love George. Enjoy your day,” another fan said.

George Strait is the ‘King’ For a Reason

George Strait has over 60 number one hit songs. That’s more than any other artist in history. He’s been nominated for an ACM award a shocking 81 times. He’s sold more than 100 million records worldwide and is one of the best-selling music artists of all time. George Strait started his music career in the 70s and has been wowing audiences ever since.

It was announced on his birthday that George Strait will perform at the 2022 Rodeo Huston event for its 90th anniversary. This will be the 31st time Strait has performed there. The event begins on February 28th and runs through March 20th.

“We can’t wait to welcome the legend, @GeorgeStrait, back to RODEOHOUSTON and we can’t wait to see y’all at the Rodeo, Feb. 28 – March 20, 2022, to celebrate our 90th anniversary,” the official Twitter account for the event said in a tweet.

For fans, the idea of an upcoming live event is particularly exciting considering the year without shows. Even as things are tentatively beginning again now, it’s nice for people to have something to look forward to. It’s also particularly exciting because George Strait’s schedule has been significantly less predictable since he retire from touring in 2014.

Whether it’s fellow country artists and their adorable kids paying tribute or fans wishing him well, George Strait is getting plenty of well wishes for his 69th today. Today is a fantastic day to add some of his music to your playlist.
