Luke Bryan revealed the funny way that he chose to name his children.

On July 11, the “One Margarita” singer shared a clip from his episode of TV’s Ridiculousness with Rob Dyrdek. “It feels so Tennesee to me,” Dyrdek said of his kids’ names. “They have the perfect nicknames.”

Bryan revealed that he and his friend made a promise to one another for when they had kids of their own.

“We decided that when we named our boys, we would always name them someone you’d want to go get drunk with,” he said.

“That’s probably not the way I’d recommend anybody name their children,” he admitted.

Bryan appeared as a celebrity guest on the pranks and hijinks show. During the episode, he reacted to hilarious videos that were sent in by viewers. Some of his reactions were pretty epic and he couldn’t stop laughing.

Meet Luke Bryan’s Brood

Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline have two sons that are nicknamed Bo and Tate. Thomas is 13 years old, born March 18, 2008. Thomas was named after Luke, whose real name is Thomas. His little brother Tatum will celebrate his eleventh birthday on August 11.

“All I ever hoped for was one boy and to have two, it’s going to be fun,” Luke told People.“I’ve already got new fishing spots picked out for us.”

In 2007, Bryan’s sister Kelly passed away. Seven years later, Ben passed away. Caroline and Luke Bryan then adopted their three children. At the time, their nieces Kris and Jordan were in college while their nephew Til was just sixteen.

“We never thought twice about it,” Caroline told ABC’s Robin Roberts of adopting them. “You know, it was never something that he and I had to sit down and talk about. ‘Should we take this on?’ We just did that.”

Additionally, Jordan got engaged to her boyfriend in December 2020. She and Clint Eudy are getting married on September 5 this year in Tennesee. Luke Bryan still can’t believe how grown-up everyone has become.

“I woke up one day and I’m raising a teen. And it’s a challenge because my main thing with Til is just properly giving the right amount of advice and realizing you’re talking to someone who is becoming an adult,” Luke told the outlet. “I have to be that parent role where if he does something, he needs to get in trouble, but I want to be a friend to him too.”

Tilden is now attending college at the University of Georgia.
