Reba McEntire is sending her fans a special message for Christmas and New Year’s after what has been quite a bizarre year. Or, as the country icon would call it, a “booger bear” of a year.

On Friday morning, the “Fancy” singer took to social media to post a video in which she addressed her fans and followers. “Hey everyone, Reba here, I just wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you,” she began.

Reba then looked forward to the coming year. “Please stay safe and healthy so we can all get together in 2021,” she said. “This has been a booger bear of a year, and I’m very thankful and grateful we got through it.”

Like many people in the country, Reba McEntire is ready to close the book on 2020. “It’s coming to a close, and we can start looking forward and thinking positively for the next year,” she said.

In conclusion, she thanked her fans for their continued support. “I love you very much and thank you so much for everything. Your support, your love, your prayers, your comments. Take care of yourself, pretty please,” she said.

Reba McEntire Shares Special Christmas Memories

Reba’s Christmas day message wasn’t the only time she spoke out about her holiday cheer this year. Earlier this month, the 65-year-old entertainment icon recalled one of her cherished memories of her son Shelby Blackstock.

“I’ll never forget one (Christmas) morning I woke up and I was laying on my left side and I felt something, and I opened up my eyes, and Shelby was three inches away from my face,” Reba said.

Reba continued by adding: “He said, ‘Mom, you’re not gonna beweive what Santy Claus weft for me.’ And so, he said you’ve got to come here. I got up out of bed and went in there and there was this little tractor-trailer set that he had just fallen in love with at the store. He’s seen it, and he said, ‘I can’t beweive he bought this for me.’”

In the same interview, Reba talked about her Oklahoma upbringing. Read more about what Reba had to say here.
